The Toshiba 42X3030D is a 42-inch LCD screened TV with full HD. Many TV’s state that they have 2 HDMI connections but this new Toshiba TV has 2 HDMI 1.3 ports, which are far better than the previous connections and allows deeper colours once connected to a HD DVD Player like the Toshiba HD-XE1.

As with most TV’s they offer great black levels, but when the lighting levels change in the room the black levels can sometimes degrade, but the Toshiba 42X3030D has found a way around this by using dynamic backlight, which helps to set the intensity of the backlight depending on the amount of light in the room. As a result, the TV boasts a dynamic contrast ratio of 6000:1; this is very good for an LCD TV but still cannot compete with a Plasma TV.
