Rear Projection TV’s never really made it as big as what the industry had hoped and with the arrival of flat panel LCD and Plasma TV’s, it seemed to seal the fate of these rear projection televisions. But now Sony is out to revive these under-rated TV’s that many of us have missed, and with the launch of the Sony KDS-70R2000 this 70-inch TV is a step in the right direction.

We know that this new TV had to use some new technology to be able to compete with the new range of TV’s n the market today, and the new SXRD projection technology does just that by helping to improve the smoothness on high-resolution images making watching movies all that more enjoyable.

The contrast ratio is very high on this TV at 10,000:1, this allows for great black levels perfect for watching those dark movies. The Sony KDS-70R2000 70-inch SXRD Projection TV comes with two HDMI inputs.

The Sony KDS-70R2000 is in fact a great TV with only two faults, firstly the size boy it’s huge and secondly the price of £3,650.
