For those of you who have been lucky enough to own one of the ‘S’ series range of Sony Bravia LCD TV’s you will know just how good they are. Well get ready as Sony now have a bigger brother to the model, The V series.
The new Sony KDL-32V2500 32 Inch HD LCD TV has the technology called Wide Colour Gamut or (WCG). Ok so we know that the V series will not be as good as the W and X series, as it will not feature full HD, but it is a cheaper alternative and you still know that the Sony KDL-32V2500 is a capable TV.
Sony has not gone over the top in designing this TV, as they always seem to go for a conservative approach. But it is always when they get to the innards of a TV, that they then start to show how a TV should be made.
With the Sony KDL-32V2500 LCD HD TV, you get an extra HDMI port; this is a great addition, as more peripherals seem to require this connection. There is only 2-scart connections, but this is fine as it does have that extra HDMI port.
The Wide Colour Gamut (WCG) Technology is a new back light system from Sony, which improves the colour by adding 127% more PAL EBU colour range. Sony have said that this greater enhances the red and greens in LCD TV’s.
