As you know there seems to be a contest with all the TV brands as they fight over the position of big screen TV’s, well it now seems as if Shinoda Plasma are about to deliver a major blow to these other electronic companies by announcing that they are to release a 142-inch 720p Plasma Tube Array TV hopefully by next year.

He TV has a 720p resolution, a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, and also a brightness of 1,000 nits. Ok so that is the good news, but here is the bad news firstly the 142-inch TV from Shinoda Plasma is composed of 1 x 1 meter squares and is made up on site so you will not get a seamless picture, and the other piece of bad news is the price tag, a few hundred thousand dollars.

If you are buying the TV for commercial use, then the 142-inch 720p Plasma Tube Array TV is perfect, but Shinoda Plasma’s new TV is not the right choice for home users.
