Sharp have announced that they are to reduce the price on a number of their LCD HDTVs, this is a direct result of the company’s new models. Sharp said that they need to clear out some of their inventory so they can make space for the arrival of a new model line in August.
Firstly Sharp has removed the D62 range completely, while they drop the price on the D92U, D82U and D72U series LCDs. If you look at the 46-inch LC-46D62U, when this LCD TV was launched in October it cost about $3,499, now you can purchase the same TV for only $1,824.
Other Sharp TVs affected by this huge price drop are:
• LC-42D62U – Was $2,299.99 now $1,479
• LC-46D62U – Was $2,999.99 now $1,824
• LC-52D62U – Was $3,999.99 now $2,661
