Sometimes TV companies launch an upgrade to a TV model but we can sometimes find it hard to see what that upgrade is, but this is not the case with the recent upgrade from Sharp. The new LC37RD2E is a 32-inch TV that features 100Hz technology, the result is smoother pictures with a reduction in motion blur. The design of the case is finished in piano black with a dark silver back and thin silver strip around the outer edge; the speakers have been concealed at the bottom of the screen.
The main feature of the Sharp LC37RD2E, is its TruD 100Hz picture mode, this cleverly uses electronics to artificially increase the TV’s refresh rate. This feature does come into its own while watching action packed movies and sporting events.
The quality of the picture is great; this is more evident when watching hi-def programs, as they are full of detail and colour. Sharp have never had the best image quality, but now it seems they have taken a big step and are ready to compete with the likes of Samsung or Panasonic.
The sound quality is better than average, but do not expect too much from them. They are great for watching general programs, but they do lack something when you are watching a good movie, if you can afford it get a cinema system.
