At the end of March Sharp are to introduce a new range of budget TV’s, the D44E range which are set to replace the older GD8E range. There are to be a choice of three screen sizes, 26in, 32in and 37in. All three will have a pixel resolution of 1,366 x 768, and a dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1.
Although the D44E is a budget TV that has not stopped Sharp adding a few goodies, like an ambient light sensor which will automatically adjust the screen settings so that it can reflect the current lighting conditions.
The new range will not only come in black, you can order a silver-grey model as well. For the 26in and 32in models expect to pay about £499 and £599 respectively. As for the 37-inch model, there is no pricing as the TV will not be available until the summer.
