The Sharp Aquos LC42XD1E is a 42-inch LCD TV that offers Full HD. The design is pretty much the same as many of the other TV’s on the market, very sleek and elegant with subtle contours. The 1080p really does help to produce some of the finest images with clarity in the detail. The screen has a high resolution of 1920 x 1080, so if you want to watch any HD image you can from only a short distance away.
Sharp use a number of new technologies to help improve the picture on the Aquos LC42XD1E, like HD Anti-Judder technology, as it says it helps to reduce the amount of image judder while improving the contrast and detail. 4-Wavelength Backlight System is yet another system; this adds crimson to the normal RGB spectrum, so reds and skin tones are enhanced.
You really do need to see this TV in action to truly grasp how superb the image performance is, every detail in the image is shown with so much clarity, this is the case with HD, HD Up scaling or standard definition.
The sound quality is also good thanks to the surround sound effect, there are also a number of sound enhancemts, one which took our fancy was the Clear Voice function which helps to emphasize on the speech, this is great if you are watching the news.
