If you were one of those people who thought that Samsung only mass produced cheap TV’s for people with a limited budget, then you would be wrong as Samsung also makes such TV’s like the PS-63P76FD which is Plasma TV’s at its finest. Let us get the first thing out of the way, this 63-inch Plasma will set you back £3,600.
You know that the Kuro plasma TV set from Pioneer has a contrast ratio of 16,000:1, well Samsung claim that the PS-63P76FD is only a thousand behind at 15,000:1. Many televisions always suffer with reflections, but this set helps to repress them by up to 90 percent with a special filter. With Plasma and LCD TV’s it is all about the black levels, and the Samsung PS-63P76FD are very deep, the result are dark scenes with superb depth.
For the price you would think that this TV would be perfect, but I am afraid you would be wrong as the picture is not that perfect if you are watching programs with bright images they could end up leaving some traces of themselves behind for a few seconds. However once the TV has been on for a while I would imagine that this problem would disappear.
