So here we have the Cineos 42PFL9632D which is a 42-inch LCD TV from Philips that features Ambilight technology. Many think that this technology is only there to make the TV look nice once the lights have been switched off, but that is not true as it helps to with the picture when the room is dark but if you are not convinced then you can always switch this feature off.

The design of the Philips Cineos 42PFL9632D has a nice style to it, as with most TV’s this is also finished in black with glass that covers it just too give the television a more sophisticated look. The TV is 100Hz with ClearLCD mode; many would think that this would improve the image quality however the TV does seem to suffer with some slight image distortion on fast paced movies with plenty of whites and blacks. When you do view certain movies the blacks seem to lack some detail, and the backlight can sometimes be somewhat overpowering.
