We have heard about the Philips 9000 Series TV’s at the recent CES, but what is it all about I hear you ask. Well the main feature of the TV is that it is classed as an Eco LCD; it is able to use its power sensible by using features such as dimming technology.
The system measures the amount of light in the room and will adjust the LCD backlight to an acquired level, all without affecting the quality of the picture. Once the Philips 9000 series is put into standby the TV only uses 0.15 watts of energy.
Looks like other TV companies will start to follow Philips with their energy efficient TV design.
