The TH50PX70 from Panasonic is a 50-inch plasma that looks like one of the slimmest TV’s on the market for its size. The TV can be mounted either on a stand or on the wall, but I have to say the TH50PX70 looks far better on its stand.
The finish on the Panasonic is glossy black, which what most of the TV’s seem to go for nowadays. Although this TV performs well you have to remember that the TH50PX70 forms part of the base range of Panasonic TV’s. The Television does not have the full HD 1080p, but it still is far better than most on the market.
Many of us know that when it comes to black levels, Plasmas are still winning the battle over LCD TV’s, and the Panasonic TH50PX70 keeps on the traditions with fantastic levels of black.
Both detail and image are outstanding and when it comes to motion blur, well this is not any, but then again it has always been more of a problem for LCD TV’s
Specifications for the Panasonic TH50PX70 50-inch Plasma TV are:
• Brightness - 450cd/m2
• Resolution - 1024 x 768
• Contrast Ratio - 10,000:1
• Viera Link
• V-Real Picture Processing Engine
• Freeview TV
Connections:
• 2 HDMI
• 2 Scarts
• VGA

I remember when a 42inch was the standard size flat screen, but now I wonder if the 50 inch will be the next standard size TV as more and more are being made these days.

Are you sure about LCD’s having better black levels. Only I though it was the other way round,,LCD’S just can’t do blacks!!!!!!!
I haven’t seen one yet that can and this includes the X series Sony.

Hiya I posted yesterday and today it has gone..
Your review is nonsense.. The resolution is incorrect, it has 2 hdmi and not 1 and LCD’s just cannot produce blacks yet..PLasma’s are just better at this!!

Hi, i have had a look over this review, that one of my writers posted, i see that you was right about the HDMI, that was a simple mistake. The error about the black levels was just stupid on the writers part, and i have had words with him. I have re-wrote the part about the black levels.
I do stick by the Number of Pixels though, just look at this other review http://www.hdtvorg.co.uk/reviews/plasma/panasonic_th50px70.htm
Thanks you so much for pointing those errors out.
Maybe sometime you could write a couple of reviews for me, as you seem to have an interest.
Many Thanks

The 42″ model is stated as 1024×768, the 50″ model is stated as 1366×768! Are you sure you still stick by the review?
