Way back in the middle of 2007 we reported that Panasonic were releasing a range of new PX series TV’s, and here we have one of them the Panasonic TH-42PX700. This 42 inch plasma is a mid-level TV; however it is still better than many other brands top level televisions.

The Panasonic TH-42PX700 is nowhere near the level of the Pioneer Kuro; however it is still more than good enough to ruffle a few feathers. The old PX models used to have one flaw, and that was their audio quality, however is seems as if Panasonic have rectified this problem and giving the TH-42PX700 the new Advanced Smart Sound Speaker system gone are the standard speakers an in their place are theses awesome speakers with twin passive woofers which add bass and clarity.

The Panasonic TH-42PX700 has an amazing black level, so if you are watching a night scene or maybe a Star Wars battle in space the you will be amazed by the flawless levels of depth in the black. It is not all about black levels though, colour is also important and the Panasonic TH-42PX700 has that pretty well covered as well. This TV certainly ticks all the right boxes for me.
