If you like Hitachi TV’s then you will be glad to hear that the consumer electronics company will be launching a new range of televisions sometime this year. The new range will be called Hitachi Wooo, and will have an ultra-thin display.
I do not understand how they can be called TV’s though as they do not have a TV tuner built-in, they need to have a digital set-top box or a HD DVD that will have to plug in to the HDMI input. Hitachi says that the reason for removing the TV tuner is so that the new Wooo TV can be thin and lighter. The television will only be 38mm thick.
The Hitachi Wooo will come in three sizes, 32-inch with a resolution of 720p, and a 37-inch and 42-inch, both will have a resolution of 1080p. Expect to see all three models in store by this summer.
