The Hitachi 42PD7200 is a beautifully designed plasma TV, which has some nice features but does fall behind in some areas when put next to a Pioneer or Panasonic television. The colour on the Hitachi 42PD7200, is fantastic but when it comes to picture noise, the TV seems to let itself down, don’t get me wrong for the price this is still a great plasma.
Hitachi, have not gone over the top with the design, instead they have just gone for a simple look that will not distract you from the screen itself. When watching the TV, yet again the TV lets itself down when it comes to the black levels, and the sound is not exactly going to blow you away either.
The menu control on the TV is very good, as you can change so many picture settings in order to save power, the sound controls are just as in-depth, so you can try and get as good of a sound from the weak speakers.
